Join Our R&D Team as a Master’s Thesis Worker! 

We are excited to welcome again a Master’s Thesis Worker to our R&D department in Karkkila for 2025! This is a unique opportunity to tackle one of two exciting research topics and contribute to cutting-edge LED driver development. 

This thesis position is 6 months in duration, with a flexible start date in 2025, located at our Karkkila Head Office.  

Choose Your Thesis Topic out of these two: 

  1. Active PFC Stage Controlled by MCU
  • Design and implement a miniaturized active Power Factor Correction (PFC) stage for LED drivers using a microcontroller-based control approach. 
  • Develop a prototype in close collaboration with our R&D experts and bring your design to life on our in-house electronics production line. 

OR 

  1. Automation of Electrical Testing
  • Design and implement automated test systems for electrical measurements in LED driver development. 
  • Optimize and streamline testing processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and data accuracy in product validation. 

The final topic will be chosen based on your strengths and our project needs.

Who We’re Looking For: 

  • Final-stage Master’s student in electronics, electrical engineering, or a closely related field. 
    For Active PFC: Experience in power electronics, microcontroller programming, and circuit design. 
  • For Automation of Electrical Testing: Background in electronics measurement, automation systems, and programming for test development. 
  • Familiarity with simulation and measurement tools is a plus. 
  • Fluent English (Finnish is a bonus but not required).
